Hi, I’m Muhammad Awais
I am a research scientist dedicated to exploring the complex relationships between energy, water, and land use, with over 7 years of experience in engineering-economic modeling to address climate change and sustainable development. My work focuses on understanding long-term adaptation and mitigation pathways using advanced modeling tools, and I have developed strong skills in data analysis, spatial data processing, and machine learning. I am passionate about translating complex research into practical insights and collaborating on interdisciplinary climate challenges. Additionally, I have extensive teaching experience, having delivered lectures and training to academics, policymakers, and students, while mentoring the next generation of environmental engineers and scientists.

As a Data Scientist with a strong background in Machine Learning and Deep Learning, my career has been defined by the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and data processing techniques. I have worked across various sectors, with a focus on applying deep learning and machine learning to solve real-world challenges. Key highlights of my work include:
- Designing and implementing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) for image classification tasks.
- Utilizing computational methods to assess nutraceutical potentials for cancer treatment.
- Applying deep learning algorithms for the early detection of lung cancer.
- Forecasting weather patterns using machine learning models from the Scikit-Learn library.
- Leading both binary and multi-class image classification projects.
- Conducting data annotation and augmentation to improve model accuracy.
